So this is a great game, originally for the playstation, very hard to get a physical copy of. They rereleased it on the PSP as Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which is what i bought a few weeks ago. I have to say that this game was extremely awesome. This game’s background for gathering souls for the coming ragnarok as apart of the aesir is pretty accurate for what is said to have happened. So anyway, you are a valkyrie that goes to earth and collects humans to fight in the gods war with the coming ragnarok. So your job is to train these souls and grow their skills in different areas and send them up, normally one to two people per chapter. You have a limited amount of time to train and go through dungeons collecting equipment for yourself and those you send up, as if they don’t get decent equipment they do have a chance of dieing. As you go through the game, you can check up on how your souls are doing in the realm of the gods, and they can die, trust me i’ve seen it happen.

Anyway this game gets a high rating from me, would definitely buy it.

So this is my first game review in a while, though i have many games to review i need to get further through some of them to make any real judgement. I’d like to point out that Eternal poison is very similar in style to final fantasy tactics as far as battle system, but still pretty different. You don’t really get classes most of the time, and the effects are pretty bad for a ps2 game, but the storyline is crazy and the game is HARD to beat. There is no real grinding, only moving forward. Levels can take around an hour at a time on the first time through each character. You really have to have some major strategy in your head to be able to beat this game, as well as a large amount of patience. I haven’t beaten it fully yet but i have gotten pretty far. Far enough to say that it really is GOD DAMN LONG AND HARD. Get this game at your own risk, it is good but like i said – patience and strategy is very needed.
